Gail Coughlin is the sole owner and lead stylist of Elevate. Gail possesses an eye for style, inner beauty, vision and technique to take one's look to their personal best. Her fascination with the geometry of hair design combined with a fresh approach of creativity has supported a natural foundation for her career behind the chair since 2002.

Having a base in Vidal Sassoon precision cutting, educating for the ultra-modern Rusk Design Force and Chromastics color team, she has the unique ability to merge street-like styles with chic, urban shapes. Gail has displayed her talents in several avenues in the industry, such as photo shoots for the NBA and Jane Iredale Cosmetics, makeovers for 'Good Day Live', and backstage work at the world's largest hair conventions.  She is a six-time award recipient of the Presidential Scholarship provided by Cosmetologists Chicago,and a recipient of the Joseph L. Weir Memorial Scholarship provided by the Professional Beauty Association, both of which she has been a standing member for many years. Gail is Head Shape Matters and Barbicide certified, and an involved member of the Oak Park Arts District. Gail is available Mondays, Tuesdays, Every Other Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays 8-4.

Katie Bales joined Elevate in 2016 with impeccable styling experience since 2002. Prior to joining Elevate, Katie had a successful mobile and home business. As a graduate of the Aveda Institute, Katie has learned from some of the best including Nick Arrojo, Toni & Guy, and the late Jerry Gordon. She is a three-time award winner of The President’s Scholarship provided by Cosmetologists Chicago. Katie specializes in blonding and foilyage. She believes in giving her clients a fresh, stylish, and manageable look. She is an active member of Cosmetologists Chicago, and is Head Shape Matters Certified and Barbicide certified.

Katie is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 6-4.

In 2003, Ashley Brown moved to Chicago to pursue a childhood dream of becoming a hairstylist. she attended the Aveda Institute in Chicago, which led her to work with the deluxe beauty line. Education is an essential part of Ashley’s life and a necessity for success in the real world. She has worked and trained with the ARROJO team, Jerry Gordon, Vivienne Mackinder, and Nick Bernardi (just a couple of the top stylists in the industry). She loves what she does and loves bringing the inner beauty out of each of her clients. Ashley is Great Lengths and Keratin Complex certified.

Ashley is available on Mondays 5-10, and Wednesdays 10-7.

Renee began her career as an apprentice at a chic, downtown Chicago salon in 2004. She has a passion for continuing education and seeks inspiration all around her. Her specialties include dimensional color, lived-in layers, and formal occasion styling.
